Membership form for 2023-24

Who can join the club?

All members of the University can join when they are 18 or more years old. We are sorry that due to British Gymnastics child protection guidelines underage students cannot join the club. Others may be allowed to join at the discretion of the Committee if they are at least 18 years old. Please email our Secretary if you are thinking of becoming a member.

What are the costs?

For all three terms, it is £160. If paying termly, the cost is £80 per term.
If you want to join the club you need to at least have a Bronze British Gymnastics membership for insurance reasons, which you will need to acquire yourself for £22 at the BG website.

Taster sessions

According to the rules of British Gymnastics, each person is allowed to go to up to two training sessions in a club before they are asked to pay British Gymnastics membership and join the club. New members are welcomed throughout the year, but they will need to sign up to the sessions beforehand through our mailing list.

Alternatively, you can also come to any University Sports Centre session as one of your taster sessions. Experienced gymnasts are strongly encouraged to try out Milton Kenyes Gymnastics and Spectrum Gymnastics which provide excellent facilities for high-quality training.

If you have never done gymnastics before, keep in mind that the best clothes to wear are shorts (or 3/4 leggings) and a T-shirt but nothing too baggy. We do not expect you to own a leotard but you may wear it if you wish to do so. Trainers are not needed as we train barefoot or wearing socks.

Club mailing list

The Club has a mailing list which is used to inform members about travel arrangements, socials, training sessions etc. Every member will automatically be added to the list but others can be added as well by emailing the Secretary at cuogc-secretary (at) srcf (dot) net.
